One of the many events that take place on International Paella Day is the World Paella Day Cup. The tournament where different countries around the world compete to win the cup for the best paella.
The chefs competing in the World Paella Championship are selected by the public and filtered by a jury made up of top professionals. Each one chooses the paella recipe with which to compete, there is only one requirement: the rice must be dry, loose, whole and tasty. In other words, it must be a paella.
The representatives of each country, live a few days before the World Paella Day Cup Stage. A few days of concentration in Valencia where they can acclimatise, train and improve thanks to a great technical team made up of great paella masters and experts in the world of rice.
